Thanks J, but I used GSE daily for years - then I found out the minimum
inhibitory concentration for aspergillus fumigatus is 300ppm
(http://bobosplayhouse.com/about_gse.html) which I find irritates my
nose intolerably.
I think that 2 drops in 8 ounces is (very) approximately 1 in 7000 or
about 150 parts per million [that's assuming 30 drops to one ml, and 8
ounces = 250 ml], and the commercially available stuff is already
diluted I think. Also, this concentration will just stop the stuff
growing. It's the minimum lethal concentration that is relevant, which
would be higher.
I have tried a huge number of things, from ozone inhalation to hydrogen
peroxide to oregano oil, and many others. Most of these things irritate
the sinuses badly at a concentration that will kill aspergillus. Most of
them I became sensitised to after a while, like oregano oil. Hydrogen
peroxide at the right concentration (3 drops in 10 mls of 3% I can
tolerate) isn't too bad, but I used that for a long time and it didn't
eliminate the fungus. That's why I am enthusiastic about silver citrate,
which should kill aspergillus at less than 100ppm yet 300ppm doesn't
irritate my sinuses too badly. There must surely be a point at which I
can reduce the fungus to a level which my immune system can deal with.
I know that MAKING colloidal silver with salt is a bad idea, but why is
mixing them later a bad idea? I have found that when I add a little salt
to my dark CS it takes a while, more than an hour, for them to react
(the dark colour disappears - no white precipitate so not silver
chloride, who knows what happens), and without it CS burns my sinuses
and they swell and my nose is blocked for days. Adding even a tiny grain
of salt to the Angstrom silver immediately generates a white precipitate
(silver chloride I assume) which is why I add DMSO instead.
Incidentally, Jason, if you are reading this, where do you think I would
see the first signs of argyria induced by silver absorbed through my
nasal mucosa? I know that the fingernails are the first to show signs
from ingestion. So far I'm not blue or grey externally, though my ENT
commented my nasal mucosa are grey. I'm sure that's from the dark
colloidal (ionic) silver, not the silver citrate. Time will tell I suppose.

flush (in 8 oz. of water)-- GSE kills most yeast, fungus, Candida ect.-- But,
for sinuses I have had good luck with just saline and GSE twice a day and when
you get the fungus under control reduce the saline to 75% (cuts down on salt
irritation). Saline is one teaspoon of salt in 8 oz. of water-- 75% is 3/4
teaspoon . I use bottled water not distilled because distilled eventually
leaches the minerals out of your skin and makes things worse. Also, BE WARNED, I
would never add salt and silver together.
