my son is six and he has not officially been diagnosed with selective
mutism but the teachers at his school feel it may be why he is so
quiet. He never spoke a word in pre-k, only spoke to the teacher in
kindergarten and now in first he has a few friends and interacts with
everyone but is very shy. my main concern is that at home he is
completely different. He is bossy, demanding does not listen and says
horrible things to us when he does not get his way. his new thing is
threatening to kill us. I'm very worried. we are a very easy going
family with one child that just refuses to follow rules. Is this normal
with selectively mute children or is there another issue with my son?
