Hi. My daughter was recently dx with SM. We were working with the
schools child study team to try and figure out what was going on
with her. She is 3, will be 4 begining of may. She was going to
preschool 2 mornings a week. We pulled her out just before we got a
dx. The dx came from a psychologist outside of the school system.
We will be trying a new preschool next fall. Tuesday we have our
first IEP meeting scheduled. Anyone out there know what I should be
asking for? Right now she isn't getting any services from the
school district or otherwise. I feel like they have labled her and
sent us on our way. The only treatment option offered we were
rejected for other than medication. We aren't sure we want to go
that way. Her SM isn't too sever IMO. But I don't want it to get
worse when school starts again.
