Re: need some one to talk to about sm

I have found a web site where they have a book
you can buy. Its called The Ideal classroom setting
for the selectively mute child. I have ordered the
book. I am hopping that it may help.. My little girl is
going to start going to a special preschool for special
needs children, even though she isn't handicaped, they
are hoping that going through the steps like a
handicaped child will help. The specialist gave me a tape to
look at. Its a program that I think dateline did in
96. and the girl was 8. They ended up using a liquid
prozak on her and it actually worked.. I don't know if I
want my girl to do that, but she has allready told me
she is willing to try. She is only 5 and wants to
try.. I don't know.. I tried to talk to my Dr. about
this , but so far I have only gotten to talk to his
nurse. I will hopefully know more monday to see if he
can help in any way.. the web site where I found the
book is www.selectivemutism.org/Htm/bk.htm I think for
non members the cost was $24.95 with shipping..<br>I
know I am getting frusted so you probably are too. If
you want to talk e-mail me.
