There is hope

Hello everyone.
It's been a very exciting year
for us. I hope that this will give you all some
hope.
My daughter went through almost 5 yrs.at school with
non verbalization. She is one of the many Selective
Mutism victims. After years of struggles she has had the
best school year of her life.
Guess what? At
Christmas she actually got up on stage and narrated her
class play.
Today, she is giving a speech in front
of her class and has informed me that she intends to
win and advance on to compete with the rest of the
school!!!!
I hope that when weather permits I can attend some
meeting and tell my story. I live over 2 hours away or I
would have been there already.
I hope that my story
allows some brightness into your lives and lets you know
that persistance does pay off. It still amazes me to
see my daughter speaking in school and especially
doing it infront of the entire
school!!!!!

Cheryll
