I've helped in my daughter's class and I think it just gave her a crutch
and slowed down her progress. My daughter is a freshman in high school this
year and she was put on a 504 plan after being rejected for special ed. She
has the special ed counseler and an advocate in the school. If you do go
with an EA make sure it's someone who knows about SM and will help her
without talking for her or otherwise enable her. Good Luck
