Re: [Selective Mutism Support Group] Does anyone have feedback on use of Prozac ?

Tom,
My daughter was put on zoloft, which is suppose to be something like prozac. We
did not have alot of response and she was on it for several months. That was in
preschool. My daughter just got out of the first grade. She was not on meds, but
went to theraphy. I think her progress was from her teacher. My daughter called
and talked to her teacher on the phone yesterday. She has made so much progress
just since March of this year. No meds, just alot of support from the school and
the teachers. putting any kind of pressure to talk doesn't help. Finding her
other ways to do testing and that stuff helped alot. My daughters teacher got a
tape recorder and had my daughter talk into it and read spelling words into it (
teacher was not in the room at all). That really helped. She is now going on to
the second grade, she was able to show them that she knew her stuff..
