Hi!!

This is an sos. i am writing to you
from india. My sister-in-law who is 27 years old has
been suffering from scleroderma for many years now but
was diagnosed only last year. She has been put on
medication and steroids too. But the problem is that since
scleroderma is very rare in India, doctors dont seem to know
much about it. Last year they gave her steroid shots
called methyl prednislone. They said that was to control
the inflammation in the lungs. But she hasn't
improved much since then. In fact she coughs just as much
if not more. Also they gave her a medicine called
colchicine. And that controlled the purple marks and
chillblains. But unfortunately that medicine is not being
manufactured in India anymore. So she has been off that drug
for three months now. The problems has therefore
incresed. She has started getting blisters on her fingers
and spots on her face. She is very scared and none of
the doctors seem to know much. Please help me.
