Hi Michelle:
It was just my GP I went to see about the itching & the bruising, so
he only knows a bit about SD. He isn't sure what the itching is, he
says he thinks its just one of those things you have to expect as a
SD patient. He prescribed me some Clarityn (antihistamine) to help
the itching but it isn't working & I have to go back in 2 weeks if
its no better.
He says he isn't too worried about the bruising as my blood test are
fine. He says it is probably vasculitis, which is a common SD
symptom. However if it doesn't ease he will take some more blood
tests.
My bruises do go unlike yours that has been there for a year. It
doesn't seem to be that I bruise easy, they just come for no reason,
then go, then new ones appear & i have about 15_20 on each leg.
It seems that niether the summer or winter does us any good, summer
because of the ithcing & unsightly marks on our legs & winter,
because of the raynauds.
Sorry I don't have much info for you but I will keep you updated.
All the best
Debby
