Re: My best friend just diagnosed with S

Karin

I am sorry to hear about your
friend, My Mum is a sufferer of SD which was diagnosed
about 3 years after many hospital visits where the
doctors even thought the illness was in her
head!

Mum is in my opinion definately getting worse and the
quality of life is very poor. Karin I know that this does
not paint a good picture but I am sure you prefer for
me to be honest, but some people I talk to seem to
have a better quality of life then my mum so everyone
is different and there are different types of SD,
the type my Mum has got is systematic which basically
is attacking her insides, she is constantly
suffering from Vomiting, diaarohea and fatigue.
The
hardest thing I find is being able to help and there is
not much one can do to help, obviously being there
showing love, a shoulder to cry an ear to listen will go
a long way.

Feel free to email me if you
wanna chat more, my address is
kentishlad_1999@...

I hope your friend will find the strength to
fight
this disease.

Mike
