Catt<br>I apologize for not getting back to you
sooner. Caitlin is off track, so we have been having fun.
She is 11. I read a later post of yours too.
Initionally I was told by a pediatric dermotologist that
Caitlin had morphea too. Hers, started on her upper
thigh, but the biopsy on her lower calf showed
slceroderma too, but you couldn't see anything yet. That is
when I was told it was linear scleroderma, which
usually runs in a line from hip to ankle. The
discoloration is starting on her calf, but also on her right
arm (same side). I changed rheumatologist when
"Mickey" started growing so fast. The first rheumatologist
refused to treat her with methotrexate until it was in
advanced stages. Now somehow, I find that nuts, especially
when methrotrexate works most of the time on kids,
(according to what I have found). She does have to have
monthly blood work to make sure the methotrexate isn't
damaging her liver. I would certainly go that route any
day rather then wait until she is really disfigured
and stiff. Patti
