Have trust in your surgeons, and if you are a nervous and worried like everyone is, then be nervous and worried. But you really don't have to be. It is a clean and fairly cut and dry procedure. ( Pun Intended !! ) The only thing I could keep down for 2-3 weeks was sugar-free Popsicles. Please get the name brand Popsicles not the Food Lion or Rich food or Billy Bob's. You are having a 15 - 20 thousand + dollar surgery -- Get the good stuff girl !!! I had a fever for a few days post-op. no biggie. Pain in my left shoulder fairly common & eventually eased up. Also had a lot of congestion which made it difficult to keep anything down - even water. Doc told me to take children's Mucinex-- did the trick. Your lap-band is only a tool as your surgeon has told you. You still must do some work with a lap band. Do exactly what is asked of you by your doctors and your dietitians. Trust them and what they say. They truly want to help you on your weight loss
journey. Your lap band is only as good as you make it.
Good luck on your surgery and your journey.
Tom I've lost 152lbs in 27 months -- It works if you do 2 -- See ya !!!!
