Hi, Liz! We do have a LapBand-specific support group that meets
monthly on the third Thursday at 6:30pm at the Sentara CarePlex (on
Coliseum Drive). I don't know the official stand, but I'm sure you'd
be welcome to attend. Enter through the York River doors and take an
immediate right. The meeting rooms are on your left. I've gone to
two in a row so far & they each met in a different room, so just pop
your head in & ask! Susie Rohling leads our meetings & is the
Bariatric Program Coordinator. She posts here or you could call her
office # 757-736-0549 if you feel odd about attending. I'm newly
banded & am finding it quite helpful to be surrounded by people who
know exactly what I'm going through, even if we don't all have the
same surgeon… Hope to see you there on the 15th!
