Not sure on the sweet taste since it varies from one person to another but
Champion Whey Protein puts out a cookies and cream that tastes very good.

You could try some turkey bacon or sausage?  I make a mexican scrambled egg with
a bit of meat, cheese, and salsa on top.
I LOVE the Cappachino (sp?) flavored Nectar that I special ordered from Vitamin
Shoppe.  It is very coffee flavor so I do a 1/2 scoop and 1/2 of chocolate
protein and add ice to almond milk and make a homemade frappachino!
I can almost pretend I'm at Starbucks.

Cottage cheese, cream of wheat (be careful it’s also a carb). If I’m not in the mood for the stuff allowed for breakfast, I’ll eat lunch twice instead.  LOL

You can get Isopure Pure Protein at Vitamin shoppe.  It has no taste, no fat, no
carbs.  You can add it to whatever you want.  Soups, drinks, etc.  I put it in
tomato soups and some other soups.  You can also add it to milk and ice and
flavor the drink with something with more of a mild taste.  If you get the
Nestle creamers for coffee, you can put a little of that in the shake.  1
tablespoon has 5 carbs.  I love the new Egg Nog flavor.

Also instead of using regular milk, you might try soy milk OR the almond milk -
the unsweetened only have 40 calories, lots of protein and less carbs than
regular milk.

If you want to try other flavors, flavor it with a portion of a crystal light
packet (not a full one!) or a small portion of sugar free jello mix.

I think the chocolate proteins are still too sweet, so I use the plain, add some
coco(the kind you cook w/that has no sugar, and a packet of splenda.

I also like the Nectar Lemonade flavor, it is a little sweet, but reminds me of
a cool lemonade.. add ice.

Chicken or beef broth both tasted really good when I was in the liquid stage.  So did tomato soup.

I had surgery 1-29-07 and am still mostly on protein shakes (thanks to an ulcer).  I found that using a whey protein added to a pudding mix is very good, you can use sugar free pudding and skim milk and its good in protein as well that way.

Not sure you have been approved yet for that, but if not you will be soon.  At this early stage for you, you will need to drink the protein drinks for now.  I don't know which ones you are drinking, but if you just buy the whey protein and add it to skim milk, they aren't sweet.

I too am also 7 weeks out... My surgery was Sept.21.. I go to the WLSC and we are to have 90g protein a day.. I still do a protein shake a day, that is the only way I would ever get in that much protein.. I am down 47 pounds.. I was 237 when I started and now 190!  I exercise every day for at least 30 mins... I take my time eating it takes me 30 mins to eat 3 oz of food , I make sure I chew chew chew so I don't get sick...I do get weighed everyday when I get on my wii fit... There are some days I wish I didn't.. My weight has slowed down to like 3 to 4 pounds a week loss now were it was like 7  pounds a weeks..
We are all different! The more we exercise the more muscle we build , so like Miryastar said if you don't see it on the scale you are more then likely seeing it in your clothes..
I'm sure you are doing just fine ! Take your time when you eat, make sure you stop your drinking 30 mins ahead and don't drink during your meal.. I wait 45 mins after I eat before I drink again.. I still fill full so I wait a little longer.. I have trouble getting in all 64 oz of fluids .. I usually only get in like 42 oz.. Keep UP the GOOD WORK ! It will come in due time!!!!! We are here to help each other !!!!

I think each doc is different. I was told to get at least 80 g protein daily; and that the only way to do that was by adding protein drinks. Maybe you are just developing muscle instead of loosing fat since it sounds like you are exercising alot. Have you noticed a big difference in sizes?
They say the smaller you are starting, the slower you loose the weight, not sure how much truth there is in that..but.
