Hello Patty!
Have you gotten a date yet or are you still researching the
possibilities? All I can say is always remember that everyone's body
acts differently after the surgery. For me I like one other person
have only been sick from eating too fast and not waiting for that air
to get out before taking another bite. Initially you will only be
able to eat a small amount for me I am 16 weeks Post Op today and I
can eat about 3 oz of meat and I will be full. It also depends on
what you eat and how liquidy it is to how much you can eat. Like I
can eat Wendy's small chili since it's consistancy is pretty liquidy
and then be full. It really depends on the person to where they are
at and how they feel. Some have trouble eating meats, raw veggies,
and other things but it doesn't mean you will. I haven't had any
trouble with any foods at all so far. I did notice my taste buds
have changed though oddly some things I liked before surgery I don't
at all care for now as well as some things I didn't really care for I
like now. It really is on an idividual basis what works and what
doesn't. But know when you make that choice it will be a life
changing choice. From the way you look at food to the way you look
and feel. It's a journey not an easy trip but a life changing
journey it will take time petience and the willingness to learn and
change. If you need anything at all just yell! Good Luck in
whatever you decide to do!
