Amanda, Better days are ahead! You will be AMAZED when you step on the scales at the office. You can be creative with your diet as long as it's low sugar (5-8gms or less) and low fat. A few suggestions: Egg drop soup (strained); Won Ton soup (strained), chicken noodle soup(strained), use your yogurt or pudding as a basis for a smoothie with a banana, freeze the smoothie and eat like ice cream. Make sure you are concentrating on your protein. You can add some protein powder to most anything. Lots of water flavor and flavorings out there, too. Remember, this is temporary and all worth it!

Yes just hang in there. After surgery I really didnt want to eat
anything, I felt too sick. However I understand about having your
friends and family eat around you. I would just stick to the sugar
free popsicles! I k now that helped me through my cravings!

> Hi Amanda...I went through the same thing that you are. I'm 2
weeks out and was just started on the soft/puree diet. The liquid
diet was very hard for me too. Your doing all of the right things
now and unfortunatly I can't think of anything different. I'm
starting to get those cravings for certain things again especially
Pepsi. I would drink so much pepsi in a day it was ridiculous. I've
been fine without them until just the last couple of days. Hang in
there it does get better....Nikki
