You should try a protein shake. I am 7 months out. I have lost 82 pounds. I buy a protein shake from Vitamin Shoppe. It will give you 35 grams of protein in one shake. They are excellent! I drink one of these a day. They come in Chocolate, Vanilla and banana Cream. They are call Pure Pro Shakes. These will help, they did me when I was just a few weeks out like you. Good Luck! It will get better.

Eat your protein first, if you can stomach milk, drink it and add some powdered milk to it as that will significantly up the protein. I found that string cheese was great for snacking as it was conviently packaged in one ounce portions, and a decent source of protein. Peanut butter is high in protein and so are dried beans. Just a few suggestions off the top of my head -- hope it helps!

I had gastric bypass 3 weeks ago.I have lost 22 lbs. I am now on the soft diet. I am having a very hard time getting enough protein in every day. I feel I eat and drink all I can but still find myself with only 50G-60G or so of protein a day.I try to eat 1/4 cup at mealtime but even that is not an easy thing to do. Maybe I am not eating the right foods? Any suggestions?
