Hi,
Don't be scared.  My husband had the surgery in April and has lost 120 lbs.  I had the surgery in June and have lost 50 lbs.  there is nothing to be scared about.  You will be ok, just do everything the doctors tell you.  It is a great tool that the doctors gave me so now I am losing the weight that I have always wanted to lose.
