Welcome to the Sentara CarePlex Hospital Gastric Bypass support group. This is a support group for people who had had a gastric bypass and for those who are researching this surgery for obesity. The Bariatric Program Coordinator for Sentara CarePlex Hospital, Susie Rohling, moderates this group.

This group offers a safe support outlet where members can share their successes, questions and experiences with one another.

I think each doc is different. I was told to get at least 80 g protein daily; and that the only way to do that was by adding protein drinks. Maybe you are

Be sure to take photos any time you have skin infection/irritation where the folds of skin are laying on each other.  This helps document the medical reasons

7 Weeks Out - A Little Discouraged
Had my surgery 9/17 and no complications whatsoever ... having difficulty eating as I am still eating too fast. Dr. has told me to come off protein
