Re: Government to ban research

Interesting... I have a few questions, unless you're just spamming
us. Because you seem to cover a lot of territory... and you just
joined the group today... so it appears that you might just be a
spammer.

How exactly does this help people with Spina Bifida, which is a birth
defect and not a spinal cord injury? Can you give us more specifics?
Is there promise of improved function for people with SB through stem
cell therapy? Where can we get more info on the study and results (Is
there a Web link you can give us)?

Do you actually have or know anyone with Spina Bifida? Or do you
represent a lobby group or a biotech company that would serve to
profit from our action? Do you live in North Carolina? Or are you
just passing through?

I'm not sure we're about political action here... unless that's what
everyone else wants. Because if we are, we should act to make our
voices heard about the NC Budget Crisis and the cutting of Medicaid
benefits to people that live here! That hits my family -- what about
anyone else?

Thanks!

Mike
