Hi Everyone,
I am being induced this friday evening at Kennestone. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and they did a biophysical to check movement, breathing and fluid levels. All turned out fine. The sonographer happen to look at the kidneys and noticed that something wasn't right. ofcourse, they didn't say anything to me at the time. I went on with my appt and when I was thinking I was finishing up the midwife told me she had called my perinatologist to discuss what they found on the sono. My heart went in my throat. Basically, we wont know the extent of problem with the kidneys until he gets here and has a sono done. He is relying on me right now to function. There is some positive news in all of this though. His kidneys are normal size and he has the right amount of fluid. So we are praying that it isn't something they can't correct immediately. This is our prayer at least.
This is going to be a wonderful blessing at christmas. I am so thrilled and excited I can't stand it. I was a nervous about all this on tuesday and up until yesterday afternoon because I was hoping to go into labor without having to worry about his health and then my midwife called me yesterday and said that she had been reading up on the condition and said that she was very hopefull for Tripp because he has some really good signs working for him with his fluid level being good and the size of his kidneys. So I felt a huge sign of relief and just know that everything will turn out fine.
I will update everyone as soon as possible. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Tracy
