Coconuts are very abundant throughout the Philippines.  It has been known to have a lot of uses. In fact, the coconut tree has been named “Tree of Life”.  The latest discovery of the coconut is the many health benefits of Virgin Coconut Oil.

Nutrizen Virgin Coconut Oil is extracted from fresh coconuts using an “absolutely no heat” cold process. The coconuts are freshly harvested and processed within a few hours.  Our process is a state-of-the-art mechanical process and does not undergo fermentation. Thus, our VCO is pure and fresh, and has no rancid smell and taste. It’s probably one of the best-tasting VCO in the market. Try it and find out yourselves!

Nutrizen Products

  • Virgin Coconut Oil
  • VCO Capsule
  • Massage & Body Oil
  • Hair & Scalp Therapy
  • VCO Soap
  • and more to come...

Please let me know if you have more inquiries.

Similar to a computer virus-scan, the EPFX/SCIO system focuses on your energetic body and measures nutrition, vitamin levels, minerals, enzymes, health of internal organs and much more. The system then feeds back frequencies to enhance or counteract your body's own resonances. The results are compared to the "norm" and a complete assessment is provided of stressed areas of your body. Learn more at our open house Tuesday, November 14th

Hi all,

Just a reminder of the upcoming Myopractic Deep Muscle Therapy Workshop this Saturday at Austin Bodyworks Therapy Center in NW Austin.

Workshop:
Quads, Hamstrings and Adductors

Class Description:
This workshop focuses on the muscles that support and balance the hips from below. Weakness, inflexibility and imbalance disrupt the gait and contribute to low back pain. Also, old head and neck injuries often work their way downward, causing imbalance in the hip and thighs.

In addition to learning the protocols for quads, hamstrings and adductors in prone, supine and side-lying positions, you will learn the myopractic application techniques designed to save wear and tear on your thumbs, hands and arms.  We use little or no oil and put great emphasize on proper body mechanies and hand position.  The goal is to work deeply and effectively in a gentle, pain-free session.

Date:
Saturday - Oct. 21, 2006

Times:
12:30 pm to 6:30 pm

During lunch at the 6th Annual TAMT Convention and Trade Show in San
Antonio we are having committee meetings to organize and establish
the following TAMT committees:

Membership Benefits - Develops benefits for membership (group
health insurance, convention, newsletter, IRA information, etc.)
Government Advisory Board - Attach to DSHS and establishes
relationships with local governmental agencies and political figures
Educational Alliance - Will help to create criteria for
acceptable Continuing Education Providers and help provide qualified
CE's for chapter meetings.

You are welcome to join us in the Clarion Tropicana Riverwalk Hotel
in San Antonio 12-2PM whether you attend the convention or not. In
order to be on the committee you will need to be a TAMT member, but
you are welcome to come to the meeting if you are not a member to see
if you are interested.

There are several things going on in our profession that may shape
our future and are likely to be the major priorities of the
committees..
1. The Commission for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine is
studying our profession.
2. The American Medical Association has currently organized a
task group headed by the Texas Chapter to look at the education
qualifications of complimentary health care workers.
3. Current laws and rules are not being enforced, rather we have
a tendency to attack those that are practicing within the law and
unlicensed, illicit practitioners using massage or bodyworkers as a
marketing tool are being left alone by law enforcement. This hurts
us all.
4. I have heard numerous complaints about the state of
continuing education in Texas. Several interest groups still want to
change massage rules and laws for various reasons.
5. Due to the self employed status of MT in this state, health
insurance and other benefits are expensive and often unavailable. We
have a tendency to massage to massage and our future is our
responsibility. Retirement plans can be complicated. Group rates and
education can make these things affordable and obtainable.

I support a Texas based Association handling these things, without
the complications of a national associations agenda. I do personally
support the "other" association's agenda but is that what the
majority of LMT's want in Texas? If I have learned anything during
the last two years of my political activism, is Texans are different
and they don't care how it is done anywhere else. Also, most
politicians are still "good-old" boys and will listen to us, if we
have the numbers and a united voice.

Please feel free to email me off list or call me for more
information.

PREGNANCY MASSAGE: Pregnancy and the birth process is one of the most
transformative events in a woman's life; a time of structural,
physiological, psychological, spiritual, and social change. As
therapists, we are honored to be part of this process and need to be
prepared for the special circumstances that arise with pregnancy
massage. This specialized class will provide you with the
information you need to allow you to care for the expecting mother.
Massage is a wonderful way to help a woman feel more at home with her
changing body and prepare for labor and childbirth. Bodywork benefits
the expectant mother throughout pregnancy by increasing sensory
awareness; combating tension and fatigue; alleviating backache and
insomnia; and relieving swelling, pain and cramps in the legs. It
soothes and reassures a woman in labor; and in the postpartum period,
returns the body to its pre-pregnancy physiology.

In this 6 hour class, you will learn the following:
* anatomy & physiology of pregnancy
* contraindications/potential complications of pregnancy massage
* complete 1 or 1.5 hour side lying and semi-seated massage session
* acupressure points for a healthy pregnancy
* specific techniques for the three trimesters of pregnancy
* aromatherapy for pregnancy
* marketing pregnancy massage & pregnancy massage classes
Monday, 10:00am - 4:00pm August 14 -or-
Saturday, 10:00am - 4:00pm October 7, 2006

INFANT MASSAGE: Clinical evidence shows that loving, nurturing
massage for infants has a positive impact on their physical and
psychological development. It is a very powerful means of
communication in a non-verbal way, creating bonding between
caregiver/mother/father/family and baby. Massage helps to reduce
colic, constipation or diarrhea, coughs, colds and irritability.
Studies show that premature babies progress far more rapidly when
regularly massaged.

In the 6 hour class, you will learn:
* anatomy & physiology of infancy
* contraindications/potential complications of infant massage
* 30 minute specific infant massage routine
* massage for infants with special needs and older children
* massage for minor childhood ailments
* aromatherapy for infants and older children
* marketing infant massage & infant massage classes
Monday, 10:00am - 4:00pm September 11 -or-
Sunday, 10:00am - 4:00pm October 8, 2006

All workshops include lecture, demonstration, hands-on practice,
workbook and Continuing Education Certificate. Instructor Janie
Thorpe-Cooke is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Massage Therapy
Instructor and Continuing Education Provider. She has a 20 year
