Ariana Institute’s Basic Principles of Pain Management in a Therapeutic
Environment Continuing Education Class for Massage Therapists

Date and Time: Saturday, December 19, from 10 am to 5 pm
Location: South Austin near Zilker Park
6 hours of CE credit for Licensed Massage Therapists: Texas, Florida, NCBTMB and
the majority of states that accept courses offered by NCBTMB approved providers.
Tuition for this 6 hour CE class: $125
10% savings if you register for two CE courses in one year.
Some scholarships and sliding scale tuition fees are available for this class.

Research has shown that massage therapy has positive systemic effects for the
individual suffering from pain: massage influences the immune system, the
endocrine system, and the cardiovascular system. Neuroscientist Candace Pert and
psychologist Tiffany Field have charted the effects of touch by monitoring
biochemical changes in the brain and body. Deepak Chopra writes that, "when we
stimulate the skin, we can cause, literally, a shower of healing chemicals to
flow into our blood stream." Massage therapy offers a focus on pain management
that is part of a growing trend that includes a philosophy based on the concept
of total care for the individual - body, mind and soul. The focus is more than
the absence of pain; it is based on developing and maintaining good health and
wellness throughout a lifetime. All licensed massage therapists with the goal of
working with clients experiencing pain are invited to participate in this 6 hour
continuing education course in which we will explore and discuss the Basic
Principles of Pain Management in a Therapeutic Environment.

The Basic Principles of Pain Management in a Therapeutic Environment is also
available as a semi-private or a private class. Contact
http://www.arianainstitute.com/contact.htm for semi-private and private class
information.

The Basic Principles of Pain Management in a Therapeutic Environment is also
available through Ariana Institute as an online class at
