"SHARE Atlanta - Grandparent Grief Support" for those whose grandbaby has died due to Pregnancy or Newborn Loss (ectopic, miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death). We have support persons who have experienced this kind of loss who wish to support grandparents along this path. We have been an active group since 1984 in Atlanta, GA.

We are an active group: "Outreach for Healing" ~ We walk in Memory of our babies for March of Dimes; Make baby blankets & clothes for bereaved families in hospitals; Give ornaments in memory of our babies for our memorial tree at the Festival of trees AND we have online Candlelighting & Memorial Garden...especially for Grandparent entries.

Please remember that we are NOT here to judge (about religious thoughts, medical actions or decisions that were made, thoughts they we share), we are here to heal. We respect each person's need for feeling SAFE that his/her thoughts will be taken as they are shared-in the spirit of healing.

It takes much courage to grieve and to share so when we do, the love and understanding from those who are our "listeners" is very important.

I believe in "brainstorming." We share ideas, facts, and feelings to find out what is right for us. What IS right for one person is not necessarily right for another. Often times, getting it off ones chest and getting it out in the open is the beginning of healing! There are, hopefully, many "aaha" moments.

Grieving & healing are about gradually finding new choices & feeling comfortable about who we are becoming as a result of our family's loss. Healing will help us support our adult children-a very important gift to them from us.
