South India AIDS Action Programme (Siaap) is a voluntary organization working in the field of HIV&AIDS for the past 15 years. 

We are inviting applications for the post of Senior Manager-Advocacy. 

 

Responsibilities:

-    Taking up advocacy issues at State & National level

-    Providing management and technical oversight to the CBO/Sangam programme

-    Working closely with sangams (women in sex work /Men having sex with men) and facilitate 

     democratic processes
-    Liaising with government officials and partners

-    Working in close collaboration with the programme teams

-    Liaising with NGOs/CBOs
-    Arranging and facilitating skill building workshops
-    Updating the organization with regard to policy changes in relation to HIV & AIDS and

     marginalised groups

-    Preparing and submitting project reports monthly/ quarterly/half yearly /annually

 

Desired Profile:
Master in Social Work/Master in public health or related field and 3-5 years relevant experience with development programs including supervisory experience, experience in developing, monitoring and managing a budget.

 

Ability to work in a team, excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Tamil and computer proficiency is essential. The job will involve traveling at least 10-12 days in a month.

S/he will report to the Project Director.

 

Compensation:
Compensation levels at Siaap are equivalent to market rates within the development sector. However, offers shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications. Selected candidates will be required to join within one month of selection. Only short listed candidates will be notified.
