SAATHII Mainstreaming Resource Unit in Rajasthan

SAATHII is seeking to fill the following vacancies for a UNDP/GOI
supported Mainstreaming Resource Unit (MRU) which will assist
Rajasthan SACS, technical support units, and civil society
organizations in mainstreaming HIV/AIDS with a focus on Ajmer, Alwar,
Barmer, Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur districts.

The duration of the project is five years, with annual renewable
contracts. Successful candidates will enter a probationary period of
three months prior to confirmation based on performance.

All positions require strong oral and written communication skills,
ability to plan and organize, a strong work ethic, and willingness to
travel. Remuneration is competitive and will be commensurate with
skill-set, and experience.

POSITION 1: Team Lead/ Project Manager
(JOB CODE: SAATHII-MRU-PM1107)

Location: Jaipur
Travel: Among focal districts in Rajasthan, with occasional trips to
Chennai, Calcutta and Delhi as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Post graduate in social sciences / public health / development, or
equivalent with a minimum of five years experience in the field of
HIV/AIDS prevention and / or care, support and treatment
• Experience and proven skills in project management
• Community public health knowledge
• Proven ability to develop and maintain working relationship with
partners from the government, non-government and academic sectors.
• Commitment to meaningful involvement of HIV-affected communities in
interventions, planning and capacity-building
• Experience in training and technical assistance
• Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
• Good command over English and Hindi, with at least a working
knowledge of Marwari

POSITION 2: Communications and Documentation Coordinator
(JOB CODE: SAATHII-MRU-CDC1107)

Location: Jaipur
Travel: Among focal districts in Rajasthan (requiring stay), with
occasional trips to Chennai, Calcutta and Delhi as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Post graduate in social sciences / public health / mass
communications / development, or equivalent with a minimum of three
years experience in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and/or care,
support and treatment
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi/Marwari are critical.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office and use of Internet.
• Experience in developing tools, surveys, manuals, and /or newsletters
• Experience in developing IEC materials
• Ability to work in a large and diverse team

POSITION 3: Training Coordinator
(JOB CODE: SAATHII-MRU-TC1107)

Location: Jaipur
Travel: Among focal districts in Rajasthan (requiring stay), with
occasional trips to Chennai, Calcutta and Delhi as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Post graduate in social sciences / public health / development, or
equivalent with a minimum of three years experience in the field of
HIV/AIDS prevention and/or care, support and treatment
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi/Marwari are critical.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office and use of Internet.
• Experience in conducting training needs assessment for diverse
stakeholders, developing and coordinating training programs
• Experience in training and curriculum development a plus
• Ability to work in a large and diverse team and oversee logistics

POSITION 4: Networking, Advocacy and Linkages Coordinator
(JOB CODE: SAATHII-MRU-NALC1107)

Location: Jaipur
Travel: Among focal districts in Rajasthan (requiring stay), with
occasional trips to Chennai, Calcutta and Delhi as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Post graduate in social sciences/public health/ development, or
equivalent with a minimum of three years experience in the field of
HIV/AIDS prevention and/or care, support and treatment
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi/Marwari are critical.
• Experience in networking and advocacy with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of advocacy needs of PLHIV and members of marginalized and
at-risk groups such as MSM, Hijras, sex workers and IDUs
• Experience with community and resource mobilization and coalition
building a plus
• Ability to work in a large and diverse team
• Crisis management and troubleshooting skills

POSITION 5: Accounts and Logistics Assistant (JOB CODE: SAATHII-MRU-ACA1107)

Location: Jaipur
No. of Posts: 1

The applicant will be required to manage accounts, prepare periodic
financial reports, bank-reconciliation statements and assist with
logistics for training and advocacy workshops, travel and office
filing.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least two-three years experience in accounting work in NGO or
corporate sector.
• Graduation or higher degree from a recognized university preferably
in commerce, economics or business administration.
• Sound computer skills (including use of Tally, Internet and
Microsoft Office software)
• Good command over English and Hindi/Marwari
• Experience in routine office correspondence
• Basic knowledge of current health and development sector issues,
particularly HIV/AIDS, gender, sexuality, human rights and
reproductive health issues
