Hyderabad Offices.

POSITION 1: Technical Officer – Enhance/SAMARTH (JOB CODE:
CHEN-SAMARTH-TO-1106)
Locations: Chennai & Hyderabad (1 position each)
Travel: Primarily in the USAID-focus states.
Duration: Five years (annual renewable contract)
Project Description: Enhance-SAMARTH, a USAID-funded Technical
Assistance project, is being implemented in USAID-focus states of
India in partnership with FHI, INP+ and CMAI. The project aims to
improve the effectiveness of the response of the government and civil
society for evidence-based HIV policy and programs in India.
Qualifications, Experience and Skill set:
1. Post graduate in social sciences/ natural sciences or its
equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience in the field of
HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support, and/or treatment
2. Experience in training, program implementation and
management/coordination, and documentation.
3. Experience collaborating and networking across multiple sectors
such as government NGOs, CBOs, and Positive Networks.
4. Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), internet usage
5. Strong oral and written communication skills in English, ability to plan and
organize, work in teams, willingness to travel.
6. Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills desirable
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Extends technical assistance and capacity building to the District AIDS
Advisory Committees.
* Develops/adapts training curricula and tools for leadership training.
* Coordinates trainings, workshops, consultative meetings and
leadership trainings for government and civil society organizations.
* Documents best practices in HIV prevention, care and treatment of
government and civil-society organizations.
POSITION 2: Accounts and Administration Officer – Enhance-SAMARTH
JOB CODE: CHEN-SAMARTH–AA1106
Location: Chennai

Qualifications, Experience and Skill set:
1.Post graduate in commerce with experience in accounts and financial management
2.Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably in the NGO sector
3.Strong office administration/management skills
4.Working knowledge of MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), and
internet usage.
5.Sound knowledge of TALLY.
6.Strong oral communications skills in English, ability to plan and
organize, work in teams.
7.Proficiency in developing finance and administrative reports
Roles and Responsibilities:
*Maintains accounts, handles vouchering, payments and receipts
*Handles all administrative matters of the office
*Procures office supplies and manages daily office activities independently
*Keeps a record of office assets including materials
*Compiles and forwards activity logs of project team
*Assists project team in making travel arrangements and organizing
other logistics for training/capacity-building programs
POSITION 3: Project Coordinator – Information Communications Technology for
HIV

Project Description: SAATHII leverages information communications
technologies (ICTs) to build the capacity of HIV service providers
using information communications technology. Ongoing activities
included content development and basic implementation of Online

Qualifications, Experience and Skill set
1.Post-graduate in social/natural/technological sciences, or public health
2.Core competence in at least one area of HIV/AIDS, community health
or research methods
3.Familiarity with the internet and WWW
4.MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) skills
5.Highly desirable – experience in web-design and HTML
Roles and Responsibilities
1.Developing training modules for different thematic areas in
consultation with staff in the respective programs.
2.Developing and implementing information- and knowledge- needs
assessments of NGOs, CBOs and others
3.Gathering, classifying and uploading information for the electronic library.
4.Facilitating training sessions
5.Compiling science and policy e-newsletters on HIV/AIDS
POSITION 4: Secretary/ Office Assistant

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Helps administrative and program staff with typing, travel booking
and hotel reservations,
* Assists with vouchering
* Maintains office supply and equipment inventory, and assists with procurement.
POSITION 5: Documentation Officer
JOB CODE: CHEN-TNFCC–DO1106
Location: Chennai
Project Description: SAATHII is providiving technical assistance to
TNFCC Program which is implementing three family-centered continuum of care and
ARV treatment programs through existing government services in equal partnership
with NGOs, CBOs and Positive Networks to provide a comprehensive range of
HIV/AIDS care, support and treatment services including voluntary testing and
counseling, routine medical care, routine HIV care, diagnosis and treatment of
opportunistic infections, provision of antiretroviral treatment by
trained clinicians, counseling for treatment preparedness and
literacy, provision of psycho-social services, nutrition services and
adherence counseling, out reach, home care linkages to income
generating activities, legal services and housing.
This program is being implemented at Government Kilpauk Medical
College Hospital, Chennai, Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical
college Hospital and Salem Government Medical college Hospital,
Tirunelveli. .
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for all activities related to content, information and report
management for TNFCC program including clinical, non-clinical and administrative
components.
2. Development of required tools, formats, surveys for project
implementation, training and supportive monitoring.
3. Development of standard operating procedures (SOP) for clinical,
non-clinical and administration components of TNFCC programs. Some of the areas
include but not limited to:
4. SOPs for HIV care, Pediatric Care, Family Care, counseling, home based care,
support groups, peer education, adherence
5. SOPs for administrative processes, accounting processes, programmatic issues
etc.
6. Development of SOPs will include but not limited to needs assessment of
various TNFCC clinical and non-clinical components, development of guidelines
and processes for preparation of SOPs, identification of technical experts that
can assist with various components, coordination of writing by the technical
experts, coordination of review of SOPS, pilot testing, printing and
dissemination of SOPs.
7. Coordination of best practice documentation of TNFCC program.
8. Coordination of development of patient education materials for TNFCC program.
9. Coordination of TNFCC electronic and print resource centre and sharing of
these
resources with TNFCC partners.
10.Preparation of technical reports related to TNFCC program.
11.Oversee the formation and implementation of project level and
organizational level M&E indicators.
12. Editing, translating documents from English to Tamil and Tamil to English.
Qualification & Experience
1. The candidate must be a post graduate in social science / public
health/development management or its equivalent with 5-10 years experience in
the field of HIV/AIDS with specific focus on care, support and treatment issues.
2. Proven writing or documentation skills.
3. Experience in developing standard operating procedures, clinical manuals,
operational manuals and patients education materials.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Tamil are
critical.
5. Excellent computer skills including MS office, excel, power point and use of
Internet.
6. Proven ability to develop and maintain working relationship with partners
from the government, non-government and academic sectors.
7. Ability to work in a large and diverse team.
