Re: [RSDSupport1] Locked Joints

Hi Lilbit,  I have had RSD for over 5 years and that does not sound like it at
all to me!!! Have you looked it up and seen what it looks like?RSD is a horribly
painful disease w no cure. Your skin turns bleu/black, swells so large you skin
splits open and you get open wounds that leak and run, if they di not heal they
become ulcers which are huge gapping holes in your flesh, yes it is disgusting.
Your skin also gets like leather, very rough and scaley, peels constantly. The
first sign is extreme fast hair growth, also w a sudden onset 80% of all people
loose their teeth within the first 90 days. That is the #1 side effect. I
honestly suggest you look up the American Journal of Medicine and research it,
or just look up RSD in general because all your symptoms really don't  fit the
profile  and u should be grateful if they don't, really. I have been disabled
for 7 years due to 2 failed back surgeries, my sciatic nerve is compressed and
covered in scar
tissue resulting in 24/7 never ending nerve pain down my entire right side. I
have a drug infusion implant in my stomach that delivers drugs directly to my
spinal cord. I am in a wheelchair, the rsd came as a result of this, the brain
reaches a poiint where it cannot hadle the chronic pain and has to send the
excess pain symptoms somewhere and that is where the rsd comes from. U name it I
have it, advanced scoliosis, advanced Rh. Arhtrtis, tumor behind eye, 1/2 blind,
had a stroke last week, thank God not severe but enough where I can't hold a cup
or write yet, am typing w one  hand.  But please, do some research and let me
know what you decide after you learn a little more.
Good Luck Anna Daley

Hello All,

I was recently diagnosed with RSD after a fracture to my right humerus.
The main reason I was diagnosed so quickly is because after I was taken
out of my sling, my fingers were immoble & I am unable to make a fist
or straighten my fingers. My elbow is also locked & I'm unable to
straighten my arm or bend my arm up to touch my shoulder. Also, my
shoulder is frozen & I can only raise my arm slightly. I cannot raise
it above my head & whatnot. Anyway, I wanted to ask if anyone here had
frozen/locked joints before & how were you able to get them moving? I
am in physical therapy. I've been going for a few weeks now but we've
only been able to make very very little progress with it. When you had
this problem, what combination helped you get better ... Physical
Therapy, medication, nerve blocks, etc.? I am scheduled for a nerve
block next week & right now I'm on a muscle relaxant which isn't doing
anything at all for it. Any help or advice would be greatly
appreciated!

Lil Bit
