Vanessa,
Excuse large print, am blind in 1 eye, so this makes it easier.
First of all u r on too many drugs that do not help at all!!! I have had
severe rsd for 4 years, right now I am bandaged from my toes to my knees bcause
theu swelled so bad the skin split open, I then got open wounds that would not
heal, I have been like this for 6 mths., now. There are not to many dr.'s that
really understand rsd, I had to educate mine on several issues, all they want to
do is give u more and more pills and think that is the answer. Methadone-the
worst, don't even consider going back to it, all I did was puke and sleep!
I have a drug infusion implant pump in my stomach, it holds dauludid and
Beprivicaine, whic barely keeps me at a 10 pain level, O also take Endocet, 10mg
7 times a day, Percocet 5mg. 4 times and Valium 10mg. 3 times a day, and am
still the same.
You do know there is no cure for rsd, it does go into remission, but anything
that is a shock to your body will re-activate it. You said you had rods, have
you considered another alternative? I do think by what u described you should
seek a 2nd opinion, it sounds like yoyur dr. is paranoid, and with all the drugs
he is giving u, he should be. I have to go, have dr. appt., so please, get back
to me and we will con't conversation. Give me some more info about your
condition if possible.

Hi,
My Name is Vannessa Hicks,I was diagnosed with RSD,in 2006.I have
been to so many doctors.I have a spinal cord stimulator that controls
my right leg, were it first started, now it has traveled to my left leg
and in my back.
I am so scared I have been released to a primary doctor, for two
years now for medication control. All he will give me is
1)Lyrica 150 mg 3 x day
2)Loratab 10 mg 2 x day
3)xanax 1 mg 2 x day
4)metoprolol 100 mg 1 x a day
5)lexapro 20mg 1 x a day
6)ipratropium bromide every 6 hours(for copd)
Now he is so scared of the DEA that he is wanting to reduce my
medications and put me on methadone. I have taken it before and
wasn't able to function. I am at the end of my rope and just don't
know what to do anymore. Any help that you can give me would be most
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Vanessa Hicks
