dawn alexander <ddasunshine_1@...> wrote: Hello to every one,
I am new here. My name is Dawn( nick name Sunshine). I am a mother of two
children actually they are already grown. My daughter is 20 and my son is 21. I
I have a great partner in my life his name is Bobby. My daughter has usher
syndrome she has been deaf all her life, and her eyesight is tunnel vision she
will become completely blind at some point in her life. I became a certified
interpreter because of her. My son has always been a all-star in base ball and
foot ball we had a busy life style. Like most do with children.
I am(was) a manager of a busy resturant. I use to be a bundel of energy, non
stop smiling and happy . I have RSD from my fingers to my shoulder on the right
side. August marked the first year. I have only been diagnosed with RSD for
about four months. as you all know you first go to the Primary doctor, then the
Neurologist then the Hand specialist and finally the Pain managment. I think I
have a pretty good team. I have had the nerve blocks with no relief, I am on a
alot of medication. I am on the wait for SCS. My insurance provider makes you
wait 45 days for approval.I am desperatly looking for information on the SCS I
feel it is a major decision that will change my life forever.
I was transfered to Austin from San Antonio in January. I kept my team of
doctors ,so I have to drive two hours each way for appointments. I do not drive
Bobby does.I can no longer drive due to the amount of medication I am on. I have
been off work now for seven weeks. After being busy all the time it is a major
change and I am trying to adapt it is really hard for me. I can say my house has
not been this clean in a long time haha just kidding
I love to fish any kind salt water or fresh water. Bobby throws out my line and
hands me the pole then if I get a fish on he reels it in for me, at least It
makes me feel like I am fishing.
As we all know we have to adapt to what has been thrown at us, it really has
been a challenge see I am right handed so trying to write left handed has not
been easy. Most of the time it looks like a three year old wrote it. I quit
trying to write the grocery list becasuse Bobby can't read it honestly I can't
read it myself
I am glad I found you all, now I have someone who understands . Bobby tries
bless his heart, but he will never truely understand. I look forward to meeting
each and everyone of you.
Take care and have a low pain day
SMILE
Dawn
