My name is Rhonda. I have had RSD for 10 yrs. It started in my left
knee, and now I have it from the waist down. It not only effects my
legs and back, but some of the lower(female& bladder) organs. Anyway
in '99 i had a Spinal Column Stimulator implanted.They attach it to
the spine at the effected nerves and then run leads to a battery. For
the area it effected at the time it did wonders. I stopped most of my
meds, and almost got back to a normal life. I still have it, and have
to have the battery replaced periodically, but thats about it.
Although theRSD has srpead past where thr Stimulator covers, it still
helps that area. Maybe it will help for your Dad.
