I am wondering if any of you who suffer RSD have developed oral/dental
problems due to the pain from this condition. I am still learning
about RSD since I just recently learned of my longtime friends
condition so am not clear on the right questions to ask...but she not
only suffers the physical pain and bone decay the condition causes but
is also developing tooth loss.
She has a spinal stimulator and has had several lumbar blocks done
since a work injury occurred several years ago. She developed signs of
RSD almost immediately following her initial injury to her leg from a
fall at work, but when she kept going in to tell her doctor about her
pain he just kept telling her she needed to give her leg more time to
heal. In the meantime the RSD worsened and has become level II
RSD/CRPS. Any more information on what your symptoms are like and what
your treatment has been like would be most helpful as I would like to
do whatever I can to help her in her pursuit to relieve her pain and
possibly regain her life again. Right now she is primarily in a
wheelchair or uses a walker to get around and is unable to work. She
is still fairly young, at 36, and would like to find some hope again
to overcome this condition which developed following a somewhat minor
injury.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
