Hello,
I too have RSD but in my left upper extremity. I don't know if I can
help, but I know some of the obstacles that you are facing. It is almost
impossible to do "normal things" with one arm. It makes it more
difficult, because you are constantly trying to use it. I am only 44,
but my children are grown. My biggest problem is when the grandchildren
come over. I want to do things for them that are normal. My family has
helped a lot when I want to hold them, play with them, and make things
with them. Sometimes I over do it and pay the next week, but in the
long run it is worth it. If you wish to write me, my address is
besthalf@.... Feel free to write anytime. I am going out of town
for 2 weeks, but will be back on March 5. Take care and hang in there.
Pray for our service personnel

My boyfriend of 6 years was diagnosed with RSD 3 years ago in his
right upper extremety (hand, arm, neck). Our concern lately has been
about marriage and extending our family. He is very scared about
caring for a child, which I'm sure any normal man is; but he's mainly
concerned about taking all the pain medications, dealing with the
pain and at the same time caring for the child. He is still very
young (36 yrs old) and I'm only 27 years old, however I want to have
children, but not if it means a burden on him. Is there anyone who
can talk about this, suggestions?
