Brady

Thank you for the pdf book "Rosacea 101.

I printed the entire book out right away. Read the diet program immediately,
so I could get started within two hours. I will email you at the end of the
30 days, telling you my results.

Having a rosacea condition for over 10 years, I thought I've read everything
and know all there is to know about rosacea. Well, after reading your book,
I know why I never got the results I was seeking. Drugs, creams and slight
diet changes will never get it fully under control. Plus, for the first time you
explained why, how, and step- by- step detail what it takes to really get
results.

Brady, I feel a deep sadness for those who suffer from rosacea, and never get
the right information. Worse yet, those suffers who refuse to pay the really
insignificent dollars to buy your book. Because, with your help they could
end their skin problems for good.

Thank God for you Brady.
Andy Williams

Here is a new rosacea 'complication' that is news to me:

Rosacea keratitis is a complication of acne rosacea, a disease in which the skin
of the face is affected first by pronounced flushing and later by the formation
of
nodules and pustules. The keratitis may cause severe pain and corneal scarring
with impairment of vision. Patients with rosacea keratitis have unusually high
levels
and abnormal forms of an antimicrobial protein called cathelicidin,...

A report in May 2007 says that ocular rosacea can be treated with tea tree oil
lid scrub. Here is the quote:

"A variety of corneal pathologic features together with conjunctival
inflammation,
commonly noted in rosacea, can be found in patients with Demodex infestation of
the eyelids. When conventional treatments for rosacea fail, one may consider lid
scrub with tea tree oil to eradicate mites as a new treatment."

So far, I have found 189 rosacea OTC treatments and the list keeps
growing. I keep trying to organize all the treatments in neat categories
so you can find what you are looking for.

When I started out listing all the rosacea treatments there were literally
on a couple of handfuls. Now the list is staggering. That is actually good
news for rosaceans since the more options for treatments means that the
medical community may begin to take rosacea more seriously since the
OTC alternatives are now much more available and creates an economic
force that the pharmaceutical industry recognizes. This may in turn find
some new prescription treatments that will improve rosacea treatment.

If you would like to see the 189 I have found so far as of this date go to:

P.S. Actually there is more than 189, I just haven't included all of them on
the above page. There is more like 197 but you will have to search inside
the database for the Freebie links that are noted on the item.

Frank Powell's new book is now available which is for physicians:

Rosacea: A Clinical Guide to Better Understanding and Management (Hardcover)

This new guide provides physicians with the most current treatments to help
alleviate the problems of facial redness in rosacea. Covering the structure
and function of normal skin, this book also provides the basis for understanding
the abnormalities that occur in these disorders and describes the different
conditions that can result in facial redness.

The physiological underpinnings of rosacea are not clear; this new book
demystifies this disease and provides physicians with a better understanding
and the ability to improve patient outcomes. With more than 10% of the patient
population diagnosed with rosacea, this new, up-to-date guide on the topic is
a critical addition to any physician's library.

i really loved the video by Dr. Rebecca Fitzgerald parroting the old school
thought that diet does not effect acne. I have referred to some of the
evidence found that this old school thinking about diet and acne is now
shown to be just that, old school. Here is the page about this:

Only all-natural health and wellness products will do, and this means
inspecting the ingredient label of any product you purchase closely. Do
NOT rely on the package's claims of "natural," "organic," or
"hypoallergenic," as even these products can still contain dangerous
ingredients. The term "hypoallergenic" can actually mean whatever a
particular company wants it to mean, according to the Food and Drugs
Administration's (FDA).

Some ingredients that are generally safe and very gentle on your body
are:

     * Organic oils (such as olive oil)
     * Essential oils
     * Castile soap
     * Aloe Vera
     * Plant extracts

And always avoid anything that lists "fragrance" on the label.
Fragrance-free personal care products are much less likely to trigger a
reaction.

Subject: Vitiligo Information
irshadmuhammad5
Offline Offline

Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder in the human skin. The human skin
contains special skin cells (melanocytes) that produce the pigment
melanin which colors the skin.
In Vitiligo, the special skin cells (melanocytes) as well as the tissues
(mucous membranes) that line the inside of the mouth, nose, genital and
rectal areas, and the retina of the eyes are destroyed. As a result,
white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. The hair
may also turn white that grows in areas affected by vitiligo
<http://www.antivitiligo.com/> .

What causes vitiligo?

There are several theories regarding the cause of vitiligo but the
actual cause is not fully known. According to one theory, people with
vitiligo develop antibodies that, turn upon them and destroy their own
melanocytes instead of protecting them. There is another theory
according to which the melanocytes somehow attack and destroy
themselves. Finally, some people with vitligo have reported that a
single event such as severe sunburn or an episode of emotional distress
is the main cause of this order. Scientifically, events of this nature
have not been accepted as the main cause of vitiligo. These are merely
coincidences.

Who is affected by vitiligo?

The number of people affected by vitiligo disorder ranges from 40-50
million. It forms about 1 to 2% of people in the world. 2 to 5 million
people have the disorder in the United States alone. Vitiligo affects
all races and both sexes equally and ninety-five percent of its victims
are below the age of 40.

What is the association of vitiligo with autoimmune disease?

In Autoimmune diseases, a person's immune system reacts against the
body's own organs or tissues. Vitiligo is found to be more common in
people with certain autoimmune diseases. Autoimmune diseases that are
associated with vitiligo include: hyperthyroidism (over activity of the
thyroid gland), adrenocortical insufficiency (the adrenal gland does not
produce enough of the hormone corticosteroid), alopecia areata (patches
of baldness), and pernicious anemia (a low level of red blood cells
caused by the failure of the body to absorb vitamin B12).

Is vitiligo inherited?

Vitiligo may be hereditary in some cases. Children of vitiligo affected
parents are more likely to develop vitiligo disorder. However, most
children will not get vitilgo even if a parent has it. Also most people
with vitiligo do not have a family history of the disorder. Large number
of inherited disorders are associated with vitiligo. They include:
albinism of the ocular type, autoimmune polyendocrinopathy syndrome,
congenital deafness with vitilego and achalasia, dyschromatosis
symmetrica hereditaria, ermine phenotype, familial histiocyctic
reticulosis, kabuki syndrome, and the syndrome of spastic paraparesis,
vitiligo, premature graying and characteristic facies.
