I'm sorry for not replying to this sooner but I had some things crop up that had
to be dealt with right away.
I've been reading about the Z cream and was contemplating buying it but for now
the MetroLotion seems to be working. The burning is still there but I'm not as
red. I didn't think it would work this fast though I was expecting to have to
wait weeks for some relief.
My face is burning right now after some relief from it yesterday so I know
bananas trigger it. I was craving a banana so had some banana chips I picked up
from the Bulk Barn and whammo it started my face burning almost right away. I'm
not used to triggers acting this fast either is that normally the case with
Rosacea?
I have just bought the Lauren Hutton face disk about 8 weeks ago and love it. I
haven't noticed it triggering redness or burning but then I don't know if there
is anything in the makeup that could trigger it. I'll keep a close eye on it
though just in case and if I find it is causing flare-ups then I'll check out
Bare Minerals.
I don't get many pustules but I am noticing an increase in them. So thanks for
the tip about Tea Tree Oil.
I have a recipe book somewhere around here that follows the Weight Watchers
point system but can I find it? I'll have to go digging for it and hope I can
find it. :)
Thanks for all your tips and suggestions it's much appreciated.
Take care
Jayne

Hi Jayne, I can relate. I'm 43 and was diagnosed in Manitoba approx. 6 yrs.
ago. I was given 'Metrogel'. Not sure why I quit using it. I only get the
burning cheeks when I'm out in the winter wind (esp. bad in Man.) Not as bad
living here in Utah. I swear by the 'z' cream everybody is raving about. I
do put on my kids swim googgles for a few min. after as it burns my eyes a
little. I really only use it on my nose to dry up the sebum (excess oil) I
found 'Bare Minerals' by Bare Essentuals to be the best makeup I have ever
used. Covers beaut. if feeling a bit red. I also swear by 'Tea Tree oil' for
putting on pustules that occasionally appear on my nose. My kids use it as
well for acne. I know my rosacea isn't as bad as some on this site as I have
people tell me I have a beautiful complexion and occasionally I tell them
it's because I have rosacea. Good luck... P.S. I haven't found a connection
between rosacea & diet myself. Try to eat a good, clean diet by following
Weight Watchers point system with a South Beach food plan. ie; chicken,
fish, brown rice, and drink tons of good, clean water.
