Hi Jayne, I can relate. I'm 43 and was diagnosed in Manitoba approx. 6 yrs.
ago. I was given 'Metrogel'. Not sure why I quit using it. I only get the
burning cheeks when I'm out in the winter wind (esp. bad in Man.) Not as bad
living here in Utah. I swear by the 'z' cream everybody is raving about. I
do put on my kids swim googgles for a few min. after as it burns my eyes a
little. I really only use it on my nose to dry up the sebum (excess oil) I
found 'Bare Minerals' by Bare Essentuals to be the best makeup I have ever
used. Covers beaut. if feeling a bit red. I also swear by 'Tea Tree oil' for
putting on pustules that occasionally appear on my nose. My kids use it as
well for acne. I know my rosacea isn't as bad as some on this site as I have
people tell me I have a beautiful complexion and occasionally I tell them
it's because I have rosacea. Good luck... P.S. I haven't found a connection
between rosacea & diet myself. Try to eat a good, clean diet by following
Weight Watchers point system with a South Beach food plan. ie; chicken,
fish, brown rice, and drink tons of good, clean water.
