My rosacea went undiagnosed for probably 2-3 years (I had two kids in
that timeframe) ...
or at least no doctor bothered to mention "hey, your face is awfully
red -- is "that" being
treated?"

It wasn't until I started to suffer from chronic dry eyes that after
seeing the fifth eye doctor
that he mentioned rosacea. MY GP put me on metro-cream to treat my
face with no
noticable difference and I refrained from contact lense use for 6
months with little
difference.

We moved to a different state and a derm tried 3 antibiotics and I
had a reaction to all
three so I was left with metro-gel (my face was so oily that I didn't
need the metro-cream).
It was during this time that I found Brady's site and took a leap of
faith (and cash :-) ) and
tried the acarid soap, z-cream and x-cream. My face definitely got
worse the first week
(bumps in places I didn't know I could have them) and then it was
improvement from there
on. I also changed my pillowcase every night. I went to a discount linen
store and bought
4 white pillowcases and washed them in hot water and bleach.

My husband was the best judge and he could see the redness disappear
as well as the tiny
blood vessels fade. There were two prominent vessels and one was
almost completely
gone and the other you could see but no where near as much as prior
to z-cream. I still
use the z-cream about every other day. It helps with the oilyness
and to keep the area
around my nose and my nose itself from developing blackheads or at
least keeps the
pores from getting blocked. I also think the z-cream has helped my
eyes even though I
don't get it anywhere near my eyes or eyelids. Since the z-cream
reduces the oilnyess of
my face I think I am less likely to get those facial oils in my eyes
and create an irritation.

The z-cream did initially dry out my cheeks and chin area but then I
found using the x-
cream in the a.m. and the z-cream in the p.m. eased the dryness. And
now I no longer
use the x-cream ... just the z-cream and acardid soap.

So, thank you Brady for this site and showing us our options. It
was actually your diary
that I read for months that finally had me ordering the z-cream.
