Perhaps the issue is the brush you're using to apply it with. Raw Minerals has a full coverage brush that does very well. I use that with mineral makeup that

I've twice tried (for a week or so) the very popular "bare essentuals" which seems to make my DD's skin better and better, yet makes mine worser and worser.
