Hi,
I just wanted to give an update to my earlier postings.

I was having great sucess with the demodex mites on my face, but they
have all seemed to migrate to my hair and lower back. Lever 2000 in
conjuction with vitamin c have been working great to treat my face,
but the soap is just way to harsh for my hair. Yesterday, I decided
that I would try the treatment as described at
http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/rosacea.html#reader .
If you click on Borax at the top of the page, you can find info on
Borax treatment. As scarey as it sounds, I've found that it will
start killing these critters off.
Before I get alot of posts about drinking a mixture containing a
laundry aid, know that borax is a form of boron which is a necessary
mineral that from what I understand, doesn't store in the body. I
think it's referred to as water soluable like vitamin c... alitte bit
of borax goes along way...
Like I said, I started this yesterday, today my skin is super soft
and the itching on my head and lower back has been reduced
considerably. I'm also using the borax and peroxide mixture that is
suggested..
Borax can be found in the laundry detergent at most stores.. it's a
very old item... 20 Mule Team Borax... I remember when I was first
diagnosised with rosacea, my mother told me to go get a box and take
a bath in it... the thought scared me because I was afraid that it
would cause my skin to crawl off my body.. lol... MOM was right... It
makes the water very soft.. YOU WILL LOVE THE WAY IT MAKES YOUR HAIR
FEEL!!! She's 78 this year and though she never had the problems
that I've had, she always used 20 Mule Team in the laundry.. and come
to think about it, I didn't really start having skin problems til I
moved out on my own... Maybe she was putting it in our water at
bathtime when I was a kid..I don't know, I do remember that at least
once a day she insisted that I drink a glass of water.. I just know
that my hair and skin changed over night after moving out on my own.
I'll find out the truth today.. MOM will have to come clean.. pardon
the pun.... hehe..
The only think that I've notice is that I get a very slight headache
within an hour of drinking the borax water.. which seems to go away
within 5 minutes without taking anything for it... the other thing is
that with this, you may end up with intense itching within an hour as
well, that goes away as well... just be prepared for a moment of
insanity within the hour after drinking it..lol.. it does go away....
Again, it's not been 24 hours since I've started, but I'm very
impressed!!!
According to earthclinic, it's also supposed to regulate you hormones
in someway... not sure how, I haven't done the research yet.. but
I'll let you know.. or if anybody else knows, please share!!!
From what I've read, this is supposed to kill them completely as well
as internal parasites that you have that might be dragging your
immune system down!!! But it can take some months to do.

Have a great day and good luck to all of you!!
Vicky

HI Vicky, This sounds interesting. I'd be too chicken to take the borax internally, but I'd probably soak in it. I love soaking in epsom salt. After you...

Don't know how you would see that less than a teaspoon is scary... I'm consuming about 1/8 teaspoon a day... that's it.... borax is found to be less harmful...
