I have been dealing with Rosacea for about a year now. This started
after going through treatment for Thyroid Cancer. My first thought
wsa it was side effect to the treatment.
I have researched everything from mites to medication.
The Antibotics the Derm prescribes bothers me because its constant
and I just had "pimple" like breakouts with no flushing until I
started using the Gel prescribed. I still wasnt not able to control
the breakouts after weeks of treatment.
AFter months of searching I happened upon a post from a women who
stated she had seen improvement with simply putting cornstarch on her
face before going to bed and after she washed her face at night she
just applied the cornstarch with a cotton ball. I of course thought
this was insane and way to simple for it to work. I decided to try it
because after everything else I had nothing else to lose and this was
more natural than the meds. I started to apply it at night and even
after the first treatment it started to get better. It has gradually
gotten better and improving every day! I still have a few bumps on my
face but compared to before this is a wonderful!
I also read an article where a general DR used scabies treatment on
his own face for a cure. This made more sense to me because of the
mite research. Mites are found to be more abuntdant on people with
Rosacea. So, why not treat the mites and Scabies is a mite! His
advice was to watch it around the eye area because it does sting the
eye, and he noted that the bottle states to only use from the neck
down. If the Doctor tried it and lived through it I am sure I will!
If the corn starch fails to work in the further I am heading for the
drug store (maybe with sunglasses and a scarf) to buy Scabie lotion!
