I had 6 treatments at Darm's office in 2 weeks with NO improvement. I
believe the condensed protocol is too harsh and the skin needs more
time to heal, at least for me. I have talked to many of his patients
who are going every 2 weeks and they are signing up for 12-15
treatments so please don't go there thinking you'll have clearance
after 1-2 weeks.
I imagine there are people like Kathy who had good results but the
fact of the matter is, she is the only one on all the boards saying
this. If I'm wrong, please provide the links to other posts.
I have been consulting with doctors in my area using the Laser
Genesis/IPL with the same exact settings being used by Darm so I don't
think Darm has some magical know how that no one else does. Cutera's
website has a search engine to find doctors where you live.
Bottom-line, please don't rush into your treatments, do your research,
consult with doctors in your area (most consults are free). And, if
you decide to travel to Darm's office don't go with high expectations
and be prepared to make more trip$ back. Darm may be very experienced
at what he does, but he is not using a modern up-to-date machine.
Unfortunately, he still uses the original PhotoDerm. If
you do some homework on your own and look on the internet, you almost
certainly will be able to find doctors closer to home who can do just
as well, if not better.
