Hi Kristen,
When I talked with my laser doc about my eyelids he was very reluctant to do
them for fear of scratching my eyes. I guess theoretically it is possible,
with shields under the eyelids and over the eyes, but it is risky, so not
something you would do unless you had to. I'm encouraged by how much
IPL/laser treatment is helping the ocular rosacea that people have. I'm
hoping that when I have it my eyes will improve as well.
Hope this Helps,
Tamara

Hi-
I had searched through all the messages in the archives on this topic
& didn't find any mention of what settings ppl found helpful. As would
be expected some felt it helped & others didn't, but there wasn't any
point of reference for course of tx. Settings, how many you need,
safety, if having the metal shields/anesthetic drops put in the eyes
burned & caused extended flare. Or how eyebrows/lashes are protected
if the special shields aren't available.
This tx is an especially scary prospect so I appreciate any shared
experiences. I'm not sure if it helps so much w/ocular roscea dryness
& lid flushing to risk irritating my eye surface or eyes in general.
But I worry about what my eyes will be like in 10 yrs if I don't do
all possible.
Thanks very much-
Kristen
