Allantoin/Homemade cosmetics   Message List

You guys haven't heard from me for years and today I'm making up for it!

To those of you who make your own treatments/cosmetics:

Is there a way I can add Allantoin to already existing cosmetics,
like moisturizers or facial spritz?

I usually have very good results with products that have Allantoin
high up on the list of ingredients and have purchased pure Allantoin
in crystallized form from Somerset. I'd like to add it to a facial
spray in particular. Is there a better way to do that other than just
dissolving in water and adding it that way?

In all my years of researching and trials, the only thing I've seen
that has Allantoin as the very first ingredient is the Udderly Smooth
hand cream. It is great stuff for hands and other places but a little
too heavy for my face as lanolin is near the top as well.

Any help is appreciated.
Karen
