vbeam or IPL   Message List

Hello - I had a series of IPL/Levulan treatments last fall that made my
skin 10x worse with constant red and papules I never had. I have since
had a vbeam tx with a tremendous reduction in redness and acne but my
skin is still blotchy. The vbeam doctor said I would probably want IPL
later to eliminate the lumpy skin.

My regular derm is now using the Starlux IPL but he isn't taking
before/after pictures as he isn't actively marketing it. I talked to
someone on his staff who was treated with the machine for acne rosacea
and now her skin looks "normal." At least to me it does.

I'm quite sure it was the Levulan that wrecked havoc on my skin, as
well as improper settings used with the Lumenis One.

My question is has anyone had negative IPL treatments and switched to
vbeam with better results? And, did you ever go back to the IPL?

Thanks in advance!!

AB
