Hello,
First of all, I am on the right in the photo. No one recognizes me
with my summer hair cut and driving shades.
I think it is very germane for people to understand that by staying
out of the sun we do produce less melanin and this in turn makes the
epidermis weaker. This is why Melanotan may be such a good
adjunctive therapy. Not only will a moderate tan cover up the
facial redness, but the melanin acts like mortar between bricks --
making the epidermis much thicker and stronger and less permeable
to skin care ingredients. This is also one of the major reasons
that people with darker skin types are less prone to develop rosacea
because their blood vessels and nerves have a much better protective
epidermal sheath.
Regards,
Geoffrey
