Hello Group,
Please post this to the rosaceans group also.
I have been quiet for 16 months concerning the topical DMSO
treatment because I thought common sense would prevail. Well, I
also found out that repeated aggressive posting sometimes outweighs
common sense.
I have been contacted by two young females who tried Dave Flemming's
topical DMSO formulation. They contacted me about visual
disturbances that were verified by their eye specialists. Both
females experienced moderate to severe corneal thinning and partial
(hopefully reversible vision loss). I am of course no eye expert
and so I just suggested that they stay on course with their eye
specialist. They asked me to post as a warning to others (I gather
that they are not going to post due to legal matters under way).
A possible reason why this may have happened could be due to heavy
application of DMSO to the front and sides of the nose -- DMSO then
diffuses directly onto the eye surface and tears down the corneal
barrier.
I am always game for trying out products that theoretically work and
have some safety data behind their use. DMSO does not. For those
of you who do want to go ahead and try DMSO out, please do not apply
to the centrofacial area. Try spot treating on cheeks or forehead.
This post was just meant to be informative and not derrogatory. I
hope it came across as it was meant.
Geoffrey
