I just wanted to mention a few things about Vanicream.

A member of this group has mentioned, that PSICO (
Pharmaceutical Specialties Inc.) offers free samples if you call
their 1-800-325-8232 number.
I did call them and they sent me samples of their complete
Vanicream products line. I should also mention, that their
samples are quiet generous in size.

It took me a while to admit to myself, that the tinted ZincO was
irritating for me. I had permanent rosy cheeks, flaking and a
lot of papules.

It has been only 2 days since I started using the Vanicream
Sunscreen spf 15. I can not believe how good my face looks.
Not a single papule to be seen, no flakes and I actually look
pale. I have not tried the spf 35 yet, because it does have a
small amount of chemical sunscreen.(Although Dr. Nase recommends
it in his book)

The ingredients for the Vanicream spf 15 are:

Active Ingredients~ zinc oxide 8% , titanium dioxide 3%

Also contains ~
cetyl dimethicone copolyl
cyclomethicone
dimethiconal
dimethicone
dl-alpha tocopherol ( vitamin E)
glycerin
hydrogenated castor oil
magnesium chloride
peg 30 diopolhydroxystearate
polyethylene
purified water
tridecyl neopentanoate


The ingredients for the Vanicream spf 35 are the same, except
for the active ingredients. Zinc oxide 8%, octyl
methoxycinnamate 7.5%.

Their pamphlet also mentions, that their products may be
obtained through the local pharmacy. I inquired at the corner
store pharmacy yesterday, and YES, they do sell them.
I was told a 4oz tube of Vanicream spf 15 would cost $8,
compared to $11.50 if you order through www.psico.com.
She might have quoted me their purchasing price instead of their
selling price though.

So I just wanted to say, that I like this product very much.

When you first put it on, it looks white, but after a few
minutes it seems to blend in and looks very natural. It does not
appear shiny and keeps its effect even in the hot sun.
As some of you know, I live in Las Vegas and its pretty hot
already.

I am curious to know, if my fellow Canadians ( actually living
in Canada) are able to get this product in the pharmacy as well.
