The Vanicream Sunscreen SPF 35 (http://www.psico.com) that is recommended
in Dr. Nase's book which contains a small amount of chemical sunscreen,
now comes in SPF 15 without any chemical sunscreens. The Vanicream SPF
35 also contains zinc and dimethicone and cyclomethicone without
preservatives and fragrances, but it does have a small amount of chemical
sunscreen. I just got the SPF 15 in the mail and it says NEW! on the
package so it probably wasn't out yet when he wrote that section. The
SPF Formulation is also supposed to be extremely gentle to rosacea skin,
but I was excited that they now have one that is completely free of
chemical sunscreens because I've had problems with chemical sunscreens.
I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet as I don't go out in the sun
much, so I can not say for sure that it won't irritate my skin but I'm
ready to give it a try.....
