I have found quite a few non-chemical sunscreens--for
areas other than the face--at my local health food
co-op. Aubrey Organics makes a good one that's
titanium dioxide-based. It's an SPF 20, and though you
might think you need more, I've found that it really
works great (and I'm quite fair and freckled). Of
course, the non-chem sunblocks are almost never as
sheer as the chem sunscreens. Still, I think they work
better and they tend to have a more natural
moisturizing base, like shea butter, that's a
wonderful skin emollient. Aubrey Organics may have a
website, but I've never checked.
