Re: [rosacea] I'm new; need some help (MD Forte Liotion I)

Lee, that one has 15% glycolic acid:

http://skincarerx.com/review_box.html?pid=711

but great that it has helped you! A while ago I posted a 20% off
coupon for this site, not sure, but it might still work.

I remember reading something about Demodex (which I had Dx'd) not
being able to tolerate acids, so I might give the MD Forte Lotion a
try someday (glycolic is supposed to be great for small lines and
making pores seem smaller). I currently use Lactisen (Lactic Acid)
from Garden of Wisdom and find that my sensitve skin tolerates it
well, although I don't use it very often (maybe once or twice a week).

In the past few weeks, I have cut down on triggers and am having
pretty good success with Oracea and ZZ cream.

Gabriella

Once I got them they literally (esp the pustules) took forever to go
away and left behind a reddish scar. I did try a low dose doxy and
that helped minimally. The past maybe 3 or 4 months I have been using
a very low dose Glycolic acid on my face. I use it only at night
after cleansing. It does seem to make me flush for a little while,
but doesn't hurt. Glycolic acid cleans away all the dead skin on your
face. My face has become extremely smooth (maybe you don't care about
that) and less rough, and I have no pimples or pustules at all
anymore. Before I would always be trying to get a new one or get rid
of an old one. I attribute it to the Glycolic acid. I believe if you
can really get your skin free of dead skin whatever products you do
use will be more effective. I use MD Forte' lotion I, which I believe
has 10% Glycolic acid. They also make a 15 and 20% which is probably
to much. I also didn't start out using it everyday. But maybe every
other day, I seem to tolerate it fine. Some people will not. It's
also very runny like water, so a bottle of it will last for months
and months, and you don't need to use very much. Hope this helps.
